One of my favorite things about fall is that it marks college football season. I was never big into football growing up but once I decided to attend the University of Oregon, I was psyched about attending games. I made it to almost every home game while I was down in Eugene and now that I've graduated, I still try to hit up games whenever I get the chance. It's become somewhat of a tradition for my dad and I. We drive down, eat dinner at McMenamins and walk to Autzen with the other throngs of people.
Like a couple weekends ago. When Eugene experienced a huge monsoon that hit the area right about kick-off time. Good thing it never rains at Autzen stadium, right? Argh.
It was WET. I had on a long sleeved shirt, an outdoor jacket, a rain jacket AND a poncho and was still soaked within minutes. I've never been so wet in my life. The stadium was flooding. Take a look at these photos.
It's a good thing the ducks kicked butt so 99% of us all left at half time. Trust me, you would have done the same. I didn't take many pics because it was so terribly wet but my dad and I snapped one just so we could prove we were there!
Speaking of water, I have another fun giveaway! I am giving away one of AT&T's LifeProof case for the iPhone 5 in black. This case is great - it's water-proof (perfect for those monsoon football games), dirt-proof, snow-proof and shock-proof (for those who tend to always drop their phones). You really can submerge this in water and the inside stays dry. Amazing! To enter, leave a comment with your favorite thing about fall by next Sunday. I'll announce the winner next Monday, October 14. Good luck!
*though the iPhone case giveaway is sponsored by AT&T, thoughts and opinions are my own*
