I thought it might be fun to start posting about the upcoming events happening in the Portland metro area. You know, since the name of my blog is "Living Portland" after all. I should start posting SOMETHING about the great city I live in.

2011-01-16 01-23 Portland, Oregon 018

Here's what's on my radar:

Soup for the Soul

About: Meet high profile chefs, sample their soups, enjoy beer from Widmer Brothers, local wines, bread from Delphina's Bakery, and desserts from Cupcake Jones and Le Cookie Monkey. We'll also feature a silent auction (check out some of the donors in the right-hand column) and the music of the Nick Saume Trio. This event benefits the work of Transition Projects and our efforts to move people from homelessness to housing.

DYK: In 2009, Oregon had the highest proportion of homeless people in the nation
